All about me
My name is Rebecca and I am an OFSTED registered and NCMA Accredited home based childminder in Bricket Wood, St Albans. I am a proud mummy to two girls aged 4 and 2. My eldest attends Mount Pleasant Lane Primary School in Bricket Wood. We live at home with my husband, a middle school teacher and our very friendly siamese cat.
I understand how hard it is for parents to decide on the best childcare for their child. Every child is unique and it is important to find the right environment that best suits the needs of your child as well as you as a parent. I provide a warm, caring and loving homebased setting where standards are high and independence can be developed. My home and large garden is child friendly and stocked with age appropriate toys to keep little minds occupied.
We aim to go to at least one activity outside of the home every day including toddler groups, the park, the mobile library (that stops outside the house every Friday), Willows Farm and Butterfly World. At home there is plenty to do and we especially love baking, arts and crafts and imaginary play. I like to let the children take the lead on activities and encourage further learning through building upon their own individual interests. I work in partnership with parents to ensure that I provide the best possible care for the children in my care.
